I just realized I haven't posted new stuff in a while, so I'm throwing these out there. I'm taking a character design class with Izzy Medrano online at CGMA, which is great. Fantastic teacher, awesome class. The guy in red is my take on the Cobra villain Zartan, from the G.I. Joe series. I've always really dug that character, and want to take a crack at more of the characters from that universe sometime.
Below that are some of the ideation sketches I did for him. And the steam-punkish looking guy under that is just some random design that I attempted to sketch out. The looser sketches beneath that are the ideation sketches I did to get to that design. I was thinking of making some kind of inventor or mechanic, with the exception of the second sketch from the left, who was more military inspired.
